Some Recent Pics from my Camera Roll

This is his model pose. He's going to be a STAR.

 Gorgeous Spokane outings.

Shenanigans... and the one time Ezra decided to start Brothers Karamazov. He's an ambitious whippersnapper.

He loves all things bathtub. He's constantly throwing everything he can get his hands on inside. Hopefully he won't figure out how to climb in anytime soon.

Helping(ish). Train them while their young.

The best time to escape clothes and diapers and frolic around naked in the bear cave is all the time! He is such a boy.

Ezra's favorite friend. :)

A birthday treat for one of our Sunbeams.

It's beginning to look a lot like... Thanksgiving... everywhere you go.

Ezra's favorite bedtime cuddle buddies and his favorite way to lounge around the house.

We always know when this sweet boy is getting ready for a nap because he starts to cuddle with his favorite bear.

The End of an Era

Today the final trailer for The Hobbit was released. I cannot believe it is almost over. It's like Harry Potter all over again... except hopefully this time I won't cry at the end... in the theater. Don't judge.... I can nerd out with the best of them.

I Don't Want Him to Grow Up

Earlier this week, I came across this picture of Ezra from last May. I can't believe how much of a chunker he was! And his hair was so short!! His baby fat is melting away (except his little Buddha belly--thank goodness!), as evidenced in the picture on the right which was taken earlier this week.

And as I looked at both of these pictures my emotions went something like this:

Please excuse me while I go pinch and kiss his cheeks...

This is Halloween

We had a very festive Halloween. One Halloween light show, one trunk-or-treat/chili cook-off, loads of pumpkin goodies, and the finale: pizza and Hocus Pocus with our friends, the Stovalls. Ezra adores playing with their daughter, who was dressed as Totoro this year. It was a very fun night. Here's a peek at Ezra's costume this year, Kermit the Frog.

Feeding the Ducks

Here's a quick peek at one of Ezra's favorite pastimes, feeding the ducks. AKA watching the ducks while snacking on the food we brought for them.

He sure loves those ducks. Whenever we go outside he starts saying "duh-duh!" Okay, okay, I know it is pretty similar to "dada" which consists of most of his language right now, but I'll take it! Isn't he a cutie? Down below is a blast from the past. I used to think this was hilarious... okay, I'll admit it... I still do. It's been too long Strongbad, too too long.

Apples, Sushi, & A Giant Red Wagon

A few weeks back we were thrilled when our sister, Elise, came to visit us! It was a wonderful weekend. Here are a few of the highlights:
  1. Watching Ezra and Elise get reacquainted. He went from all scowls to all smiles.
  2. Nerding out while playing Mages. It was so much fun and I'm hooked, but alas, Elise is the master mage. I will need to invest in my own copy of the game!
  3. Going to all of our favorite places around Spokane, including Gonzaga Law Campus, Riverfront Park, and Manito Park.
  4. Going somewhere new, Greenbluff, to pick apples and asian pears and partake of the scrumptious pumpkin doughnuts and apple cider. ((Our apples have now been consumed in the form of an amazing homemade apple pie, and I have it on good authority that Elise made hers into an unbelievably good looking french toast bake. YUM! I am going to have to go pick some more apples just so I can make that!))
  5. SUSHI! I can't emphasis my love for sushi.com enough. I dream of tako yaki...
  6. With our three heads combined, inventing an asian pear turkey bacon pizza. It was surprisingly good.
  7. Simply getting to see and be around Elise! We do not get to see her enough!
